Abstract
The Deli Sultanate is a Malay sultanate founded in 1632 by Tuanku Panglima Gocah Pahlawan in an area called Tanah Deli and is one of the four federal subjects of the state of Kedatukan Sunggal (now Medan City and Deli Serdang Regency, Indonesia). The Delhi Sultanate survived despite having no political clout following the end of World War II and Indonesia's declaration of independence. According to Hikayat Del, the Acehnese leader Muhammad Dalik succeeded in becoming an admiral in the Aceh Sultanate. This study aims to find out the forms of communication, the leadership of a Sultan Osman Al Sani Perkasa Alamsyah in developing Islam in the Deli kingdom and the success of Sultan Osman Al Sani Perkasa Alamsyah in developing Islam in the Deli Kingdom. The method used is qualitative research by analyzing old data sources that are in accordance with this study. This research was conducted using historical data analysis techniques such as topic selection, source gathering, source verification (historical criticism, source validity), interpretation (analysis and synthesis) and writing. By taking a historical approach, we can find patterns of communication carried out by Sultan Makmun Al-Rasyid in developing Islam in his kingdom
