Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of accountability and transparency in education financing through the implementation of accounting management in schools in Jambi City. The background of this study is the importance of open, accountable, and participatory financial governance in education to improve the quality of educational services and public trust. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and document studies in several public and private schools. The results show that the application of accounting management principles has a positive impact on increasing accountability and transparency in financing. However, challenges still arise, such as limited human resource competencies in financial management and a lack of digitalization in reporting systems. Recommendations from this study include the need for accounting training and the implementation of a more transparent and efficient school financial management information system
