Abstract

This article aims to provide an overview of the urgency of learning English in international standardized economic students. The importance of using English needs to be emphasized, remembering using English will produce standardized parameters so that the ability of the measured subject can be compared and interpreted easily. The design of this study is a literature study, by analyzing the possibilities of students in Indonesia. This is necessary because in the face of competition in the world of work in the era of the Asean Economic Community (AEC), the Economic Study Program is required to graduate students who can compete competitively. This study concludes that one of the provisions in competing internationally Economics students must have English competence to be ready to compete at the international level.
