Peluang dan Tantangan Pesta Demokrasi 2024 dan Jaminan Perlindungan Sosial Ekonomi Lingkungan Hidup

Abstract

The 2024 General Election is a legislative election with a presidential election held simultaneously. This was done based on the follow-up decision of the Constitutional Court Number 16/PUU-11/2013 concerning simultaneous elections, which aims to minimize state financing in the implementation of elections and streamline government work schemes. On the other hand environmental issues exploitation and exploration and utilization of the environment are also carried out irresponsibly and even illegally. This research relies on a combination of various types of literature that are relevant to the topic of discussion with an integrative approach and literature study with the aim of seeing (1) Opportunities and the 2024 democratic party (2) Guarantees of the Democratic Party for the Environment. The results of this study (1) Seen from a political perspective, simultaneous national elections have a number of hypothetical advantages aimed at creating congruent election results. Academically, the concept of simultaneous elections is only possible in a presidential system of government. The essence of this concept is to combine the implementation of legislative and executive elections on the same day, so that it is possible to create congruent government, congruence can be created because in simultaneous elections there is an effect called the coattail effect (2) democratic parties (elections) in Indonesia have guaranteed environmental protection life, but only limited to regulation. It has not fully touched on the level of law enforcement, namely sanctions for candidates who use trees as a place to place props and campaigns. These sanctions can take the form of administrative sanctions, such as open announcements made by the KPU to the public through the mass media, containing names of candidates who damage environment by attaching props and campaign tools to the trees. Civil sanctions, such as in the form of compensation given to each candidate who uses trees as props and campaign tools
